I’ve been tweaking the design of the site over the last few days and I think I’ve settled on something I’m happy with for now. I might tweak a few things here or there, but probably not much “above the fold” and for the most part I’ll probably keep this look + feel for a while. Now if only I could get Aaron to get me his pic for the brilliantbrown.com redesign I’ve been putting off for so long.
So what do you think of the place? Love it or hate it, I’m always happy to hear what you think. So leave a comment!
I’ve been involving myself in a series of discussions on my friend Tanieka’s MySpace blog, [Diurnal Contemplations]. I don’t always agree with her ideas, but she’s very receptive to discussion and is intelligent in her arguments. She’s got a few posts about relationships and, inspired by the questions she poses, I’ve gathered a few of my thoughts on love and relationships.

From the time I saw the trailer for Stranger Than Fiction in front of Talladega Nights, I knew that I was gonna see this film. From the time I saw Will Ferrell, I knew it was gonna be funny. Once the plot was outlined, I really got excited:
An IRS agent (Will Ferrell) hears a mysterious voice narrating his entire life, a voice that seems to know his thoughts and feelings, as well as when and how he’ll die. It turns out that the voice is that of an author (Emma Thompson) writing a book in which the agent is a character.
Those who know me well know that I’m a fan of Will Ferrell. The man is so funny that he’s absolutely hilarious just standing around. Stranger Than Fiction should probably be noted as his best performance, in my opinion.
I drew this gorilla in a meeting a while ago… a long while actually. I kept it in my journal cause I kinda liked how it turned out. Now I’m posting it here.

These Koi came to me in a dream. I had a huge tattoo of two fish circling each other (like the Pisces sign) in a Japanese illustrated style. Between them was an egg, but I never got around to drawing that part… and since I’m a horrible artist, they don’t look anything like they did in the dream.

I’m really not that good of an artist… I doodled this in a meeting. Probably should have been paying attention.
