Times are a’changing
Posted on 30th May 2007 by antuan goodwinI’m sure that you can see that antgoo dot com is up and running again, with semi-regular updates and new articles. But the site has changed quite a bit from last year’s format. Let’s have a look, shall we?
The subject matter has changed a bit. The film and music reviews fit a bit better with the goals of my other site, brilliantbrown dot com, so any future reviews will be found there. I wanted antgoo dot com to be my personal site, so I killed the ads and flipped the script a bit.
The site now takes on the form of a personal journal, with articles that are autobiographical and introspective in nature. I’ll link to stuff that I like. I’ll do what I want. I know, it’s a bit narcissistic, but if by chance that you’re someone with a lot in common with me or are at least interested in knowing how I think, then you’ll find something to read/look at here.
The most obvious is that I’ve adopted a new theme (Victoria) for the site. It’s nowhere near as flexible as the old theme, but I got tired of that same two-column blog look. Of course, I can’t leave well enough alone, so I’ll be antgooifying it a bit to better fit my needs once I get time.
What’s currently taking my time is real work and an interesting side project. I’m in the process of redesigning the website for the Alison Group, where I work full-time. Right now, there’s just a preliminary flash site up because they’re in a rush and only gave me a day to do it. Once I get some free time, I’ll go back and add some polish and bling.
The side project is that I’ll be customizing the MySpace page of Ovie Mughelli of the Atlanta Falcons to better match his website, designed by my good friend Afi.
So, that’s it. Welcome to the new antgoo.
